A chemical soil barrier is a continuous treated zone of soil around the perimeter of your home (and under any adjoining slabs) that either kills or transfers a lethal dose of active ingredient to any subterranean termite that attempts to cross it.

The active we use

Our default for Macarthur homes is Termidor HE by BASF — fipronil formulated with ‘high-efficiency’ polymer technology that lets the treatment zone extend up to 60cm horizontally from the injection point. The result is fewer injection holes, less disruption to pavers and gardens, and a more reliable continuous barrier.

What the install looks like

• Trenching or rodding along accessible soil against the slab
• 12mm drill-and-inject through concrete paths, driveways and adjoining slabs
• Sub-floor treatment where the home is on piers
• Full written report and a durable notice fixed to the meter box per AS 3660
